This is the key distinction between the Court process.

This means everything hinges upon voluntary agreement from and between both parties.

Zoom or in-person? Voluntary.

Discuss parenting time? Voluntary.

Retain a divorce coach? Voluntary.

Kids go to therapy? Voluntary.

Almost universally, our clients want to save time, save money, and save stress.

Generally, our clients have a pre-existing sense of wanting to avoid a divorce horror story or court battle.

They want to “do things amicably.”

This might mean without lawyers. It might include lawyers working collaboratively.

A tough question to answer with honest accuracy—particularly since we don’t know y’all yet. We don’t know what the issues are, and the degree of separation on said issues.

That said, some folks may reach a full and final agreement on all issues in two sessions. Others, may need more support. It entirely depends.

Cost is a crucial factor for many couples considering mediation. Our base hourly fee for mediation is $250/hr. This is for one mediator. If you prefer an additional mediator (to achieve more gender parity, for example), there is an additional $75/hr.

In terms of total cost, it’s impossible to predict with any meaningful degree of accuracy how long it will take to reach a full and final agreement.

As a starting point, we offer one three-hour session to discuss social issues and a separate three-hour session to discuss financial issues.
